The curriculum of the Department of Food Science & Technology provides a large number of educational trips-visits so that students can get acquainted with the processes of food production and processing as they take place in specialized industrial production units throughout Greece, but also in innovative small businesses that develop innovative products. Such study visits are provided in almost all years of study, even in elective courses, and constitute a comparative advantage of this department with the aim of broadening students’ knowledge and enhancing their professional prospects later as graduates.
